Your Silence
Your silence lets me know how you feel,
You struggle with speaking the words,
But I can sense it within your soul,
The pain and hurt the sadness when it grows.
Your silence tells me you care,
That everything you feel so powerful,
The words cannot possibly escape your lips
And bring life to the things you wish.
Your silence lets me know that you regret
That the choices made long ago still linger there,
Your silence tells me that you are sorry,
When the words would only sound like folly.
Your silence tells me that the love you have is also pain,
When the world seems hopeless and you can’t help,
The pain overtakes but the words won’t develop,
They fail to escape you, for words are vein.
Your silence tells me there is more on your brain,
It tells me that the thoughts you keep,
Are hard to speak, but your eyes give you away.
Your silence says help, but your voice finds no dawn of day.
Your silence is fine to me, for I can read the air,
I know what your heart feels,
I know the pain will continue to linger there,
Your silence is your love,
Words remaining unspoken,
Your Silence (Continued)
Awaiting the day when things are open.
My love your silence to me is a sweet melody,
For I know the lack of the words,
And what it truly means.
So be silent my love, I know what it is you are feeling,
You are stuck on a pause, yet your heart keeps beating,
I understand what it is you are dreaming,
A whole world of emotions you can’t be speaking.
Know that I appreciate the silence of your voice,
For your will and your power is the truth without noise.
For your heart and desire burns ever so bright,
I could never confuse your silence
With distain or spite.
The silence of your voice means
your stuck in your mind,
But the voice of your heart still burns ever so bright.
Be still my love, know that I hear the inner voice,
The thoughts that burn and glow as I look into your eyes.
I appreciate the silence of your voice,
I know none of what happens now is your choice,
You are paying histories price.
So, settle that mind and know that you are mine.
Your silence will be embraced
As you grow the gift you have inside.
